Kodomo-no-hi is known as "Children's Day," "Boy's Day," and "The Iris
Festival." It is celebrated each year on May 5th as part of an entire week of festivals, which is called "Golden Week."
Boys and their dads may set up a samurai display, such as this one, in their home. The samurai were warriors who were brave and strong. Many families hope their sons will also be brave and strong.
